Meet the Summer 2023 LDJ Manufacturing Interns

This summer, LDJ Manufacturing welcomed three interns in our Finance, Engineering, and Human Resources departments. Each of them comes from a unique educational background and got hands-on experience in their departments, from designing real trailer parts to implementing new HR and financial systems. We’re so thankful for the opportunity to teach them about our unique business and we wish them well in their future endeavors! Meet each of them below.

Q: What has been your favorite part of your internship experience?

A: All of the people I’ve met, and the relationships I’ve built.

Q: What is something you’ve learned during your internship?

A: The ERP and HR program implementations taught me a lot. There was a lot of work on the backend that needed to be done and it was interesting to see how many files are kept for business.

Morgan Roelfs

School: Central College – Accounting – Senior

Hometown: Ackley, IA

Q: What has been your favorite part of your internship experience?

A: Definitely the people – everyone has been so welcoming and encouraging.

Q: What is something you’ve learned during your internship?

A: I learned a lot about data analysis, especially with Excel’s PowerBI. I started from not knowing anything so it was cool to see how much I could learn. It was also interesting to be here during the ERP implementation and see how everything changed. Overall I learned how complex a business is – everyone has to work together to get something done.

Q: What’s next for you?

A: Studying abroad in Mexico, and deciding between grad school or taking the CPA exam!

A: Learning about the design process and the limitations that come with the real world.

Q: What’s next for you?
